Western Dairy Transport and WD Logistics are paying $1,000,000 dollars to employees to help offset the cost of inflation.
The amount per active full-time employee who began working before April 1, 2022, will be $1,175.00. We will be direct depositing this payment on Tuesday, June 28. We know this will not completely alleviate the hardship, but we hope it is helpful to you and your family. We also hope this payment communicates our gratitude and reliance on what you do daily.
We are all in this together. All are struggling with financial decisions in these stormy economic times. The company also shares in the struggle during these inflationary times. For example, the diesel price increase has already cost the company an additional $1.5 million -- even after considering the fuel surcharge increases to customers.
The board of directors is committed to keeping employee costs down and wages competitive in the market. As we move toward our regularly scheduled wages review periods, we will do all we can to help offset this inflationary cycle.
We are purpose-fueled and community-driven!
